cleaning/greasing old Bantam 200

Featured Replies

I have an old bantam 200 that needs cleaned/lubed.  It's old enough that I'm not sure where to find a parts schematic.  I'm a little scared to open it up as I don't want random parts falling out.  Any tips on cleaning/lubing these older reels?

A beauty of a reel.

Send it to one of the sponsors on here, Delaware Valley Tackle and you will get it back in primo condition.

Not to step on DVTs toes, but I've done a few of these and they aren't very difficult. When you take off one of the sides--lift up so that parts can't fall out. Set your phone up to video and or take pictures. Those old Shimanos don't have a zillion parts, you'll be fine.
