can you run a humminbird sidescan unit in the left dash of a ranger z520 and continue to use the ram mounted lowrance x38c hd on the front of the boat and right side of steering wheel.

Id like to have sidescan but dont want to give up my lowrance units.

becuase i have 3200 invested in them and just bought them this summer ... so dont want to try to sell them take a huge loss and then get the top of line side scans ... but wouldnt mind getting one of the smaller cheaper versions of sidescan gps to see the bottom in that manner as well

yes.  the smaller screen on the SI does not show the true potential of SI.  the resolution is much more detailed on the bigger screen.
