1989 Bomber Commander I/O

Featured Replies

I am looking into purchasing a well kept 1989 Bomber Commander Fish/Ski with a 350 I/O.  I am  fireman so I don't make a ton of money and this looks like a viable option to use for bass fishing and taking the family out.  Does anyone know anything about these boats?  I could use any help to decide which way to go on this.  Also, if down the road the motor needs to come out, can any 350 be put in its place such as a SB Chevy engine?  Or does it need to be specifically a cobra or a mercruiser etc.  I was a GM mechanic before my career change and can work on 350ci GM motors in a auto format was just curious how different it is in a boat.  I am sure I will have follow up questions to your responses.  Thanks a lot.
