Toledo Bend - San Miguel 5/9/20

Featured Replies

On the lake at 8:00am and off at 8:45pm.

Stained to muddy water with temps between 70 - 75. Ambient temps from high 50s to high 60s. High thin cloud cover all day. Weather report said 5 - 10mph wind, it was wrong. Was more a steady 15mph wind until late evening then became calm.

Had a co-angler this time. He grew up fishing Toledo on a regular basis from Converse to Bayou La Nana. We re-visited some of his honey holes. We did try one hump during the day but neither of us wanted to fight the wind for long. Most were caught on soft plastics and others on spinner baits in 10 fow or less.

11 fish were caught and hookset was missed on 3. 6 were put in the live well to be taken home for the fryer.
