1994 Mariner 200 quality???

Looking at a 94 Ranger 488 VS which comes with a 94 Mariner 200.  From pics the boat appears to have been well cared for and garage kept.  Wondering if anyone had experience with mid 90s Mariner outboard which is my only concern about the boat.  Price is $8,900 currently.

 

Any experience appreciated!

    I had a 93 Mariner 200 on a Bullet once. It’s the same engine as a Mercury XRI. I never had any problems with it.

    Mariner 200 EFI is the same as Merc 200 XR 2.5 liter EFI, not sure about the carb version.

    Have it checked out by a mechanic.
