Lews SG1 Casting rod

Featured Replies

I just purchased the SG1 6’10” casting rod for jerkbaits. Sold out at most places. Found it in a Texas tackle shop. If this rod is not available, what’s up? Anyone have this rod and your thoughts/review?

The Lew's Laser SG1 series of rods run $50 They are good rods for crankbaits, jerkbaits and moving baits.

For $50 they are not going to have the sensitivity for other techniques that more expensive rods will have. Durability is not bad at all. This is one of those rods that look and perform better than their cost would have you believe.

I just took in on trade a 7' MH Lews LZR Pro & a 7' MH American Hero Lews casting rod. I know nothing about Lews Rods. I believe they are considered entry level rods. These are brand new, and would like to find out a fair asking price for them.

$20-30 a piece, maybe?
