Aerator switch hums/buzzing sound when off

I have a 2008 tracker pt175. When the aerator switch is in the off position there is a hum/buzzing noise coming from a CAPLUGS 1-1/8 SC. When I turn on the aerator the noise goes away and aerator seems to work fine.  Turn off the aerator and noise comes back.  Anybody what might be causing this problem.  Thanks in advance.

    It's shorting out  with voltage creep. Take the switch out and clean it DeOxit dry out and reinstall or replace the switch.
