Transducer clicking

Featured Replies

Maybe someone here knows what is causing this. I have a Raymarine DS 400 and the transducer that came with it which has speed and temp sensors. About 70% of the time I here the transducer clicking  the other 30% it is silent. So is it going bad?

its fine. most of the time you can't hear them tick, but sometimes you can when you listen closely. It is fin, just doing what they all do

Hear it all the time when things get quiet. Its means its working properly, sending out sound waves to help you find stuff :)

Better throw it in the water, It's a 'TIME BOMB'.

Turn it on when the boat isn't in the water and stick your ear up to the transducer. You'll be able to hear it pulsing.

like the man says put your ear on the transducer you can hear it click and feel it click
