Unless you network them you will need two antennas. You can use one card if you like. Just pass it back and forth. As long as the units are set up for the chip and location you can easily move it from one to the other. Easiest way is to network the sytstem and then you would only use one antenna for both units. It's fairly simple to do. Just cost some dollars. Long Mike and I have recently networked our boats and it was a fairly straightforward setup. There are great sites out there with step by step instructions on how to do it.  Let me know if you need help.

FYI, keep the antenna at least three feet from the head unit. There have been problems reported with loss of signal if it is closer than that. I have not personally seen the problems and one of mine was closer than the three foot rule. It's a suggestion from Lowrance.
