Minn Kota Issue

Featured Replies

My Minn Kota started acting up last week. It will only run on 2 speeds, slow and fast. I ordered and replaced the speed switch, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

what style minkota? I had powerdrives that would act like that and the whole pedel would need replaced. after replacing the pedel 3 time in 2 years I got rid of that motor.

it is an Edge 70.  I've read some places that it might be the circuit board, but i have been over the schematics and take the motor apart and i cannot locate a circuit board...

I had the same issue with my PowerDrive - bad circuit board in the foot pedal. Replaced it and it still works but I'll never buy another one. Never had experience with an Edge, but the MK service policy is pretty good you might be able to get it looked at by someone who knows what they're doing.
