Rod tip help

Featured Replies

I scraped my rod tip On some concrete. The era of insert is fine but the metal ring has some scratches. Is this ok? The lone doesn’t seem to touch it

It'll be just fine!

If you want to carefully sand or file the area smooth with a VERY fine tool, it may make you feel better.

The little file in my mini Swiss Army knife works great on such things as this. Emery cloth, knife sharpening stone.

I would smooth it if it was roughed up.

Line only rubs the ceramic insert, you will be fine. Many of my rods have scratches and nicks on the guide and tip top frame. This happens from transport and also leaning rods up against things
