I’ve never “wrapped” the line just had it snug in those clips on the top and bottom of bobber

Yes top and bottom. Not sure why it’s happening very frustrating

Can anyone help me out here, just started panfishing and trout fishing with a bobber with worms to beat the winter blues. How can you prevent the line below the bobber from wrapping around the top of the bobber when casting? Seems to happen 3 out of 4 times casting. I’m fishing a cigar style bobber below that has a tiny split shot below it and below the split shot is the hook with bait. Pictured below is the type of floats I’m using, I’ve also tried round floats with the same issue

Spooled my ultralight action rod up with 6lb mono back in June or July. Used the reel 3-4 times over the summer. I plan on using it next month for trout should I respool it or the line is still good?

I have a Daiwa BG and was respooling and when I took the line off the “braid ready” rubber band type thing that is on the spool fell off. Will this have any negative impact on the reel without this on there?

I’m going to try Fishing flukes more this year. Do you run a swivel above the hook to prevent line twist or is that a myth? I’mtrying to avoid swivels. I do not like them.

Where do you guys buy your mono? Specifically trilene xl and big game. I’m sick of buying from difks sporting goods or Walmart where the date on the spool is 2-3 years old

Which one would you get for throwing an 1/8oz jighead with a keitech swing impact or easy shiner ?

What size do you guys use on the original chatterbait?

Anything negative when this happens? Seems the strands start to separate. Seems to happen after casting a bit

What else is out there that’s comparable?

Pretty much use 15lb braid on all spinning applications
