What is a good on board charger that can handle two group 29 batteries and recharge them within 8 hours?

    You want something with at least 10 amps per bank.  15 per bank would probably be better.

    There are many brands to choose from.  Minn Kota, DualPro, Guest.

    I can't speak for the Minn-Kota.  But DualPro and Guest both make units that will last for ten years.
