Tracker Pro Team 190 TX

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone else has this boat?  Or any opinions about it?  I was looking at getting this as my first bass boat but was looking for pros and cons before I make the decision to purchase.  Any feedback would be appreciated. ;)

i dont have one but my brother does. i love everything about the boat. if i were buying a new boat it is one of 3 boats id be looking at.

I have the Pro Team 175 that I purchased last year.

I have no complaints about the boat at all.

It runs 32 mph with the 50 hp merc on back with my brother and I in it.

Thanks for the info!  Keep it coming!  It's either this boat or a Triton Explorer 18.  I can't decide. :-/

I've fished out of a Tracker a long time ago, the 175 and I liked it quite a bit. I really enjoyed the deck space and the room to move around especially at night. It's a solid boat. I've never owned one so I can't say how happy I'd be as an owner. I had a Champion years back and I now own a Triton 18X2. I can say that I didn't even consider a Tracker in my choices of what I should buy. In my opinion I would buy the Triton if the money is close on both. Certainly don't put yourself in a position where you're paying more for your boat than what you are comfortable with. Having a boat should be something you can enjoy and afford to do without worrying each month. Either boat will be a pleasure for you I'm sure. I've loved the Triton so far! Enjoy your boat!

Blue,

I have a  Pro Tracker 185 and love it.

The boat is extremely stable and safe.

In fact, one of the guys in my fishing club wants to buy it and get rid of his glass boat.

The fun of the Tracker is upgrading the boat.

Enjou!  ;)    :)    :)

I have installed a chrome prop; added a three bank battery charger; upgraded Motor Guide to a 24-volt 67 thrust motor; changed out a glass fuse with a circuit breaker leading to the trolling motor; added a spare tire to the trailer; and installed a WASS Lowrance sonar by the console and a new Lowrance unit up front.

My electronics is better, or equal, to the guys with the Rangers, Stratos, Bass Cats, etc. in my bass club.  In fact, two guys upgraded to the WASS system when they saw the electronics on my little tracker.

You can get to places the heavier glass boats cannot access; have a boat easy to clean; and it is not expensive to maintain although I do have it checked out every year by Jerry Cooper at Cooper's Marine in Ashland, Virginia.

50-HP Merc motor runs like a pro.  WASS says I can go 33 MPH and that is fast enough.  Most guys run away from the fish after tournament blast-offs.  I just tool around and get where I am going sooner or later.

Get your self a trailer lock to secure the boat and trailer when not in use.

You are ready to go fishing in a good boat.

Only problem I had with some of the newer Trackers is that they are painted black.  Black gets hot in the summer.  Otherwise, it is a fun boat.

Thanks for the info Sam!  One of my main concerns is how they handle in rough water.  The lake that I would be fishing most gets pretty rough during the summer due to all the lakers that live on it with their toys.
