Stradic fk drag issue

Featured Replies

So I've had my stradic fk for a few years now. Still going strong minus the drag it used to be extremely smooth and micro adjustments were noticeable. This past season I noticed the drag for a lack of better terms skips and is not smooth at all. Should I send it to dvt or someone like that to have them clean and go over it? I feel it would easier then sending it to shimano

If I remember the Fk has the felt washers.  Cleaning and grease will help but I recommend Carbontex upgrade. An improvement that will last the life of the reel.

Your felt drag washers might be shredded. Remove drag knob and look inside the spool and spool shaft for shredded "cotton".

I was thinking it needs a good deep Clean also and do you guys carry that product? I figured kill 2 birds with one stone
