I’m pondering the idea of buying one 1648 20 hp or 1754 40 hp sc for smaller lakes and river fishing. Any issues with the boat? I’ve read about welds braking in the older boats and was wondering is quality has improved with the new ones.

When I was looking at 18' CC jons around ten years ago, I thought the fit and finish of G3 Gator Tough boats was better.  Tracker and G3 were the only makes in my area at the time.
