How to fish the fall transition/fall in featureless northern lakes?

Featured Replies

I’m on little sodus bay off of Lake Ontario in New York. I have been able to pick some fish off docks with a jig, but am struggling to find a consistent bite. I watched lots of YouTube videos of Seth Feider flipping milfoil patches and catching great numbers of bass. The bay I fish is complete grass all around it, but I am struggling to find the nice type of grass to fish like he has in his videos. Lots of the grass here is nasty and stringy, not the type Seth was fishing. Anybody else in a similar situation and can help me out?

My first question is how thick is the grass?

Areas like you describe can be tough.
