Out with the old, in with the new

Featured Replies

Well I guess burning up the VMax motor on the Kentucky BR trip wasn't such a bad thing after all. Thanks again to Joe and Andy for the tow in. Here is my new ride. It's an '05 Nitro 911 CDC w/ a 225 Merc. Hopefully I get many years of enjoyment out of this one. -Jim Grouch

8-)

Did you sell the old one or just trade it in?

Way to go Jim, that was bad news at Kentucky Lake. The new boat will give you a reason to get out on St. Clair, good fishing.

Sold it for $3,000.

Oh man.  I was going to ask you if you were going to get rid of the rig how much you'd ask.  I was interested in the motor for rebuilding.  I could've turned that one around by mounting my motor on it.  Down at KY didn't seem like the best time to ask you though.

Thats too bad. I would've let you taken it home from the lodge. Everything happens for a reason. I just poured too much money into that boat and couldn't stomach putting any more into it. I had to cut my losses.

Hey J, good for you!  We intro'd ourselves to each other and POOF, you were gone.  Was real sorry to hear about the boat.  Looks like you found a positive out of it though.  That is one sweet ride, congratulations. 8-)

Yeah sorry about that. As many of you know, I work overseas and do not get much time at home (2-3 months stateside). When the motor blew and the weather wasn't looking favorable on Friday we decided to head back home a day early. I at least got to spend one more day with my wonderful girlfriend before I left again. I hope that next years trip falls on a date that I will be back in the states. It was nice to meet everyone and hope to see y'all again. -Jim

Yeah, you guys were like ghosts. I saw you one minute, then didnt see you for a couple days.  ;D  Anyway, it was good talking to you just before you left. Tough luck on the blown motor at Ky Lake but it looks like you've rectified the situation in a big way. Nice lookin rig man!

Our timing was just bad all around w/ everyone. Johnny_Basterd (Steve) and I arrived late Sunday and most of the members were already in bed. Then we were either out fishing or out driving into town making beer runs and missing everyone. That's alright, I really enjoyed the trip anyways (even w/ a blown motor). I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I will be stateside for next year.

LOL, rub it in why don't you!  ;D

My bro has a new Z8 but for some reason i like these a lot better! Maybe one day bro, maybe one day!

Things do happen for a reason, You got yourself a nice boat there Jim.

Cart7t, You should of asked him, But I know what your saying by the wrong time. Jim said a couple different times when we were down there he was selling the boat and cutting his loss. If I had the cash then, I would've rented a truck for Andy to drive it home. ;D

My wife would of loved me. One project coming out of the garage and another going in. ;D

Hopefully this one brings you years of enjoyment.
