Fishing Clearlake from shore

Featured Replies

Is there a good place to fish Clear Lake from shore? Going to be in Ukiah for the next several weeks and was wondering about fishing another lake besides my typical Lake Mendocino.

Old article but it mentions some spots:

There's a Casino at Clear Lake. Maybe hit the water after you hit the slots.

Your best bet is Clear Lake State Park.   As mentioned in the link, you can park there and fish a couple of the sloughs though the entire area gets a lot of pressure.  Be prepared to do some bushwacking if you are trying to fish the sloughs.  I've also seen some people fishing just South of the swim beach in the park as well.

I've also seen some people fishing from the shore around Riviera Marina, though no clue if its legal or not.  Also have seen people fishing around RedBud Park, Highland Park, and Austin Park.  No clue if they have caught anything, just these are places I remember seeing people from shore when in the boat.  I'd imagine just drive around the lake and stop at any spot you can get lake access will be fine.

For sure. The State Park. I saw lots of shore access.   And two beaches.

I just got back from the lake.  Google earth it.  There is shore fishing everywhere.
