Can someone tell me how hard and the cost to add power trim to a 50hp Mercury? It would be on a Bass Tracker.

724.00 WOW. Forget that. The guy told me it only cost 250 bucks to put power trim on. This is a boat I was looking at and it only has manual trim now.

i spent 4 times that on a repair job.

Just the new pump motor will cost atleast $250 new, then you have to add the rest of the assembly. You can find plenty of used power trim setups on Ebay for pretty fair prices though.

I guess my best bet would be to find a boat WITH power trim.  

Well I ended up with a mint 1997 Bass Tracker Pro 18 dual console (from Factory) with a 40hp mercury.  Seats and carpet are in great condition (no rips) and no dents in hull. I had to drive 6 hrs one way to get it, But well worth. Thanks to all that helped out.
