So I have a 1987 4 HP Johnson 2 stroke and I’m looking for any information on servicing it  aka changing the power head  oil hoping that there is someone that can give me info on this thank you

That’s the easy part  need information on the power head thank you though 

Every two stroke I have seen you mix the oil with the gas in the proper ratio. There should not be any oil to change like you would on a four stroke.

You are correct what I was seeing was what I thought was a oil leak. And my brain went in to dam I’m going to blow my engine I found that there was a loose case bolt on the bottom  I have tighten it up and that should solve my issue  and hopefully I won’t have any more brain farts thank you for your information

I should have said outboards as old as yours since the newer ones have a separate oil tank and oil injection systems.
