Can someone tell me what the deal is with the lead ban? My brother inlaw told me something about not being able to use less than 1/2 an ounce of lead or something along those lines. Can DEC hassle you for using/having old lead split shot?

    What state?  My knowledge is limited, but the only two states with lead bans that I know of are NY and Maine.

    If NY, there was a long thread on NYBass.com about the lead ban.
