Anyone doing thru-hull transducer in a BassBaby?

I have access to the inside of my BassBaby hull via a 4" hole I had to cut for something else. I'm doing a thru-hull 'ducer with ductseal in my kayak which works great but the kayak provided a smooth and thin mounting. The hull of the BassBaby looks thicker and irregular.

    It should. Plumbers Putty  is cheap  give it try. I read thru the hull of an OldTown kayak that is 3 layers.
