Hi I live hear in port charlotte/ Punta Gorda in the deep creek area but I never cat h any bass any more here I used to catch them a lot I was wondering if anyone can tell me some new spots around port charlotte like any lakes or canals that hold some bass I miss reeling em in lol

    It is a tough area for freshwater fishing. Not many local spots. The big lake in Deep Creek has bass. The retention ponds along Kings Highway are prettygood too.  Are you bank fishing or do you have a boat/kayak?

    Check out this site. You may get some ideas. Relatively new, only a few members.

    Is bass fishing any good in the Peace river around Port Charlotte

    No. Water is too brackish. You would have to go up river well past the 75 bridge. You can catch redfish, snook, jacks, etc. in that area.
