My first boat finally

Featured Replies

got it a few weeks ago. a half uncle of mine who i dont reall know much found out my bass obsession and said told my dad i could have his boat. so we went and picked it up at his uncles house. been sitting for years outside. with a few hundred spiders and grand daddy longlegs in it... nice. got it washed cleaned up. looks good now. spent a few days fiberglassing cracks and bad spots.

plus. my dads boss had a bass boat sitting in his warehouse for a long time and he got rid of the boat but left his motorguide 56LB troller motor and lowrance x75 fish finder in the warehouse. said we could have it. so thats another $5-600 worth of stuff for free. had to take apart the massive deck mount that was on the motor. and kinda custom made my own setup with some wood and part of old bracket. i got really lucky on all this i guess my 2-3years of paitence paid off. taken boat out 3-4 times. and have yet to catch fish from it haha. great luck. just got lowrance hooked up for last outing. still figuring it out... well heres the pictures

may be labeled "stalker II" but i personally named it "the floater" referring to a turd that wont sink

Sweet.  Congrats.

Now for the fun of updating it and adding more and more contraptions to it.

That is the fun of boat ownership.  :)

That is exactly like something that I am looking for. Just need to make the money to get one.

GOOD FOR YOU BUDDY. YOUR TOY LOOKS VERY NICE.

IT ALWAYS FEELS GOOD, LIKE YOU ACCOPLISHED SOMETHING WHEN YOU HAVE TOYS TO SHOW FOR.

I WISH THE MY BOAT SET-UPS WERE FREE, UNFORTUNATLEY MY SS140 COST MY POCKETS A NICE CHUNK OF CHANGE. I HAVE ABOUT 15K INVESTED IN MY 2 BOAT SETUPS. 1.(I BOUGHT USED: 18' 98 Skeeter SS140 w/ 225HP Yamaha VMAX & Minn Kota Maxxum 55/SC (5 Speed, Foot Control, 42" Shaft) 12K INCLUDING TRAILER) 2.(BOUGHT NEW: (INFLATABLE PONTOON BOAT) 12' 08 Sea Eagle FoldCat 375fc Deluxe w/ Minn Kota Endura 55 (Electric) Trolling Motor. 1.7K (MUST ADMIT I CHARGE THIS ONE ON MY MASTER CARD))

:)

P.S. AS FOR YOUR ANCHOR PROBLEM...YOU CAN FIND SMALL ANCHOR WEIGHTS AT YOUR LOCAL FISHING WAREHOUSE MADE SPECIALLY FOR YOUR BOAT IN WHICH YOU TIE TO A MARINE ROPE & HALF HITCH TO YOUR BOAT BAR. THROW OVER BOARD, STAY IN ONE SPOT & CATCH SOME FISH.

GOOD LUCKS TO YOU IN CATCHING THE "BIG KAHUNA."

good looking boat i just recently got my first boat a bass traker 12ft jon boat it my be a "floater" as you said but it gets me on the water with no leaks i can honestly say the first fish in the boat is the most frustrating because of the anticipation of boating it in your boat and not some one eles.
