  1. i would definately be picking up some topwater frogs to fish in those weeds. 1 small bass is all it takes. i too caught my first descent sized bass while catfishing. it took my night crawler. i eventually forced myself to try to become a believer in the soft plastic lures. a lil paitence and one Dink is all it took to get me hooked on a trickworm
  2. if you on lake jackson in butts county Georgia. ive had some success with a trickworm weightless small bass here. other than that... bring some chicken liver or night crawlers and you'll have no problem tearing up some Cats if you give up on the bass
  3. havent done much frog or topwater fishing. had a pack of rage toads. got 1 2lb bass on those. just not very durable. considerin trying these aswell. do you fish them same as you would rage toad. just reeling it across top of water? or do you twitch it back so it looks like a hopping frog. let it sink at all? twitch pause twitch pause? let me know. thanks
  4. gahhhh, i Must buy the eeliminator and rooster after watching that.... im very easily influenced into buying new lures... even when i have no money :'(
  5. sorry guys bout the massive pics. resizing now
  6. got it a few weeks ago. a half uncle of mine who i dont reall know much found out my bass obsession and said told my dad i could have his boat. so we went and picked it up at his uncles house. been sitting for years outside. with a few hundred spiders and grand daddy longlegs in it... nice. got it washed cleaned up. looks good now. spent a few days fiberglassing cracks and bad spots. plus. my dads boss had a bass boat sitting in his warehouse for a long time and he got rid of the boat but left his motorguide 56LB troller motor and lowrance x75 fish finder in the warehouse. said we could have it. so thats another $5-600 worth of stuff for free. had to take apart the massive deck mount that was on the motor. and kinda custom made my own setup with some wood and part of old bracket. i got really lucky on all this i guess my 2-3years of paitence paid off. taken boat out 3-4 times. and have yet to catch fish from it haha. great luck. just got lowrance hooked up for last outing. still figuring it out... well heres the pictures may be labeled "stalker II" but i personally named it "the floater" referring to a turd that wont sink anybody else got these things goin around? any tips or ideas for anchor/anchoring system. little bit of wind will take me to other side of lake before i can reel in my worm
  7. thanks guys. hopefully i can get to some water soon and try again
  8. ive caught a few dinks on a regular brushhog by accident in shallow creek, but havent caught anything of quality from a lake. what are your favorite ways to fish the Brushhog and Baby Brushhog in a lake. shallow or deep? weighted/unweighted... fast or slow?? thanks. any help is appreciated
  9. ...... if you find out anything let me know haha
  10. ive came to the conclusion either i need to move to a better area to fish or your daughter could pwn me in a fishing tourney
  11. ive been planning on a kayak for quite some time now. gotta finish building my mustang so i can sell it and my truck to get a nice truck.. shall have some cash left over afterwards for my hobbies. but i dont plan on fishing out of kayak much if at all. just paddlin creeks, rivers ect. for fun
  12. well picked it up today. happy as can be. gotta go pick up the other seat from his house. (boat was at his uncles) but spent the day cleaning it. fiberglassing cracks. etc. nearly ready for water now. just registered it online. so far the only money spent was $14.99 for fiberglass resin. i also got a free troller motor from the warehouse my dad works in. his boss took it off his old bass boat and its been sitting (rich fookers) its a 56lb Thrust i saw the same troller in 40lb version today at walmart for $475 so picking this one up for free.... i think i got a good deal hahaha. had to take apart the huge deck mount that was on it. and customize it a lil. got a few pictures. so im quite happy as ive only bought resin and registration. now i just need to invest in a battery charger and a few more bolts for the mount we rigged up and im Set for the water had about 4 years of dirt, spiders and snails embedded onto the boat almost finished
  13. thanks guys. sounds like itll do me good. luckily the new resevoir i plan on fishing alot allows no gas motors. so i wont be worrying about people wakeboarding, jet skis or anything else. just other fishermen trolling around.
