Hey guys, thanks all for the help on my last post. I currently own 4 setups and I’m a little overwhelmed on what rod should be used for what lures.

 

Here’s what I got:

 

7’2 Medium heavy power Moderate action with an 8:1 speed baitcaster

 

6’6 Medium power Fast action 6.4:1 speed baitcaster

 

6’9 Heavy power moderate fast action 7:1 speed baitcaster 

 

and my 7’ spinning setup is medium light power fast action which y’all helped me pick out and it’s a phenomenal senko rod.

 

Thanks so much for the help with that setup and looking forward to everyone’s opinions on this!

Others might have other ideas - this how I'd set them up if it was my arsenal.

 

I'd swap the 7:1 and the 8:1 to start

MH with the 7:1 - spinners, chatters, jigs, T-Rigs, crankbaits

M with the 6.4:1 - finesse jigs, jerkbaits, weightless worms/flukes (including wacky)

H with the 8:1 - Flip/pitch/punch, frogs, heavier topwaters (WP-110+, Super Spooks, etc)

 

The spinning rig can also be used for Ned, drop-shot, Neko...any finesse technique really.

I agree with MN Fisher on everything he said!!  Feel that would be the best use of the gear you have there!!!
