Would you guys recommend a Medium or LMH for throwing strictly 1/8-1/4 texas rig in the z bone lineup or maybe helium? I tried throwing a 1/8 today on a MH and you couldn't cast more then 10 yards or feel the bottom at all. Cover is very sparse to none

MH.. But if your throwing a 1/8 oz. weight plus a hook plus plastic and can only throw it 10 yds. you may have some operator error going on.

My Trig setup is M with fast action. Baitcast 12lb Floro. I throw mostly 1/8 + weight of small worm right now. I can get 15-20 yard casts 45 degrees toward the wind if necessary. So depending on your reel you may have spool set too tight. 
 

But your rig sounds fine to me. Each their own. 

I was kinda exaggerating 10 yards but it was a little more then that. I was throwing it on a curado dc but the rod barely loads a 1/8 so it's less of the reel and more of a little too heavy of a blank for the application.
