Great Wicomico River

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I'm going to be on a family vacation at a house on the Great Wicomico River right at the top around the Indian Point/Cedar Point area in mid June.  I'm not familiar at all with that area though.  I'll be mostly fishing out my Kayak but have access to a small motorized skiff as well.  Any tips on that area of the river or what to expect?  Looks like 2-5 feet deep depending on the area.  What am I in for?  Smallies, snakeheads, perch, catfish?

salt water, well brackish i guess.

speckled trout or rockfish is what to fish for, check with RW's Tackle in Callao, they'll steer you on the right path, with Tremendous selection of bait and lures
