It's time to replace the boat seats!!!

Featured Replies

Well it's time to replace/rcover the seats (bench seat) on my Procraft Pro 205 bass boat. the question is this????

For those who have done this in the past: Is it cheaper to have them re-upholstered or just to re-place them with after market seats?? I don't have a price on the re-cover yet, but new seats (and not OEM Procraft seats!!) are between $400.00 and $900.00 dollars.

What to do???!!!! ;)

Inexpensive and they come in a multitude of colors.

Depends on the seats and if you want them to look original or not but unless they're just plain, basic seat, I doubt you're going to get them done for less than $400.  Personally I just do my own. Usually cost me about $100 for the materials

try the boat seat store. they have good ones for around 400.

I bought mine here and so did Long Mike. We are both very pleased.

I looked at this site...nice seats!! And free shipping doesn't hurt!!!

I doubt I can get the old seats re-covered for that price...... ;)

When I did a rebuild of my boat I found that Cabela's has a wide variety of seats. Got mine there for @ $165 each and am very happy with them.

Cabelas and BPS both sell seats from this company(WWW.boatingseats.com). BPS said they would only stock the mid range price seats and if I wanted the higher end ones I would have to order direct. I did and it took seven working days to receive them. Word is they build when the order is turned in. You can follow your order from day one and track it each day as it progresses through the build and delivery.

It's actually Wise seat company. They build the OEM seats for Tracker, Nitro, Champion, and Stratos. I heard they build some for Ranger, but could not confirm that. Their seats are excellent.

What Fishfordollars said.  Here's a photo of my new seats.  I replaced them all, including the fishing seats, for about $500.

Nice seats Mr. Mike. Those would actually look amazing in your Procraft Unc.

What's a Procraft Unc? Never heard of it.  :-/

Sorry.  "Unc" is what D3 and I call bassnajr. My grammar skills are not what they usually are tonight. I still have anesthesia in my system, cut me some slack.  ;D
