Exactly what condition is the boat in?  Correctly re-gelling a boat can be very expensive.  Painting and re-gelling even more.   You know that correct?

You are facing a very expensive job if it is a total redo. You might look at a wrap. I was facing the same issue several months ago. I ended up going with the wrap and could not be happier. Send me your email and I will send you the before and after pics. It saved me a ton of money.

Most 1998 fiberglass boats would not need a complete gelcoat redo.  Unless your boat is severely oxidized, scratched, chipped, or blistered the gelcoat can usually be brought back with some work.  Post a picture of the boat up close so the guys on this site can see what it looks like.  I bet you will get some good advice that will save you a ton of money.

Jack can answer that.  When he told me I was shocked.  Waaaay cheaper than doing a quality paint and regel job.  

Price depends on how detailed you want to get with the colors, images, and thickness; Jack saved a tremendous amount because he was able to do the prep work himself.

yea they are in my area and gave me a quote of 6k for a basic 4 color wrap.. I know you can find them wayyyyyyyy cheaper

$1,300.00 for the entire boat. Includes the inside(Carpet to the top, top cap, and the outside(Sides) including the splashwell. If I ever get the motor finished I'll carry it back to the shop and complete the inside of the wrap.

I do intend to pay him extra for the inside. Probably end up total cost of 1,500.00 or so. Still a bargain.
