i've read the other post on replaceing carpet i'm going with 20oz+ & shave the lids,but where is the best place to buy carpet for my boat i'm not looking for the cheapest carpet i'm looking for the best carpet for the best price?

Whatever you do DON'T buy BPS 20oz carpet. It's the worst carpet I've ever worked with.

i found 24oz for $7.50 at basscat boatparts have you heard anything about that?

I've heard lots of good things about the Bass Cat carpet.  Remember though, at 24oz you're going to have some very tight fitting lids and some extensive shaving will be needed to get those lids to open and close correctly.  

Last winters project I went down to cabela's and bought carpet in the bargin cave for half price. I agree with Cart don't buy BPS carpet. For the price you pay it doesn't hold up very well, for me atleast.
