Anyone have a Shimano Blackmoon Backpack?

Featured Replies

Does anyone own one of these? How are they? And negatives? Looking at picking one up but I'm not sure which version to get. They have a top loader and a front loader version. I primarily bank fish so this would help out a lot.

I have the front load model and I’m a big fan. Just note that you can easily fill the bag with a lot more stuff than you need, and lugging all that around when bank fishing could be tiresome and tedious. It’s a good bag for a co-angler/non-boater or when youre fishing from a smaller jon or tin boat. If you plan on carrying it around all day on your back while bank fishing then I’d suggest something a little lighter and more compact.

Also, read my posts about it in the following threads. I go into a little more detail about how I set it up.

Thanks for the feedback. I currently carry a bag with 3700 boxes (4) and its a pain for plastics since I keep them in their original packaging. I feel the backpack would be easier to carry even though its bigger.
