  1. Hey everyone! Long time no see. Caught this yesterday and I’ve gotten conflicting answers from buddies and other people online. Majority are saying musky but others say pike. What do you think?
  2. Finessegenics changed their profile photo
  3. Wow! I think I just put in my worst event ever. 621 points so far…
  4. Looking at these so far, but as usual, I’ll end up changing the day before the tourney Walters Palaniuk Schmitt Gross Smith
  5. That screen on the front of his boat is huge!
  6. I’d say keep throwing whatever you’re really enjoying at the moment. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try something new; I just wouldn’t worry about feeling obliged to learn and invest in a new technique or bait because of a fear that you’re missing out on fish or somehow falling behind in the bass fishing curriculum 😆. After more time on the water/experience, you’ll come across situations and tell yourself “I wish I had a bait/technique that can do xyz or be presented in xyz manner”. With a general knowledge of bass fishing tactics you’ll have heard about a technique that can maybe help you out in that situation. Like picking the right tool for a job. Then, you can decide maybe it’s finally time to learn that tactic. Over the past two seasons, I’ve really learned to simplify things and not overthink it. As a beginner, I also had analysis paralysis so I can relate to how you’re feeling right now. Hope this helps, tight lines!
  7. Walleye and pike which are the usual by-catch anyway. I also like to fish for sturgeon, catfish, and carp and I do so often.
  8. Can't wait for it to get started!
  9. Nothing surprising for me this year. 1) Z-Man TRD on 1/16-1/8 jighead 2) Screamin Eagle Spinnerbait 1/2 and 3/4 3) Beaver style bait on a swinghead, usually a rage bug It wasn't the most productive year for me as I did not get to fish as much as I had hoped, and when I did, it was more of a multispecies affair.
  10. Like others said, it seems like the 1/8 oz tubes may be a problem. A 1/8 oz tube does sound a little light for the M rods in my arsenal but I think you'll be fine if you go with something rated 1/4-3/4oz. Remember that a 3/8 oz spinnerbait likely weighs closer to 5/8 oz after all the components are taken into account.
  11. Bingo. I used to be that person, always needed the newest tackle but I realized it was just an ‘addiction’ to spending money. As you mentioned, you don’t need a 20ft bass boat to get out there. Same way I didn’t need hundreds of lures/baits or dozens of rods.
  12. Well that was a fun season! Was a great time playing with you all and congrats to @lmoore!
  13. Walters Cory Johnston Gussy Foutz Pipkens
  14. No longer in first! Finally had a bad tournament. @lmoore is now in first!
  15. Excited for this one. Schmitt Feider Felix Gross Wetherell
  16. I'd say either common carp or gar if they are in your lake. I usually don't see them in huge groups but I have seen groups of 3-4 fish swim at the surface. I could be wrong considering you hear 'hundreds', that part is throwing me off a little
