Its like throwing darts at a board, blind folded. Even if you don't do well in our forum standings, if you do REALLY well in one event they give out prizes. Someone on here won a prize package last year.

PotatoLake
Always a good time. I'm in. I think this year I'm going to pull names out of a hat. I'd venture a guess I'd finish higher in the ranks with this method.

jhoffman
I won a tacklewarehouse top ten in the nation twice. The amount of gear tacklewarehouse sent me was nothing short of ridiculous. Back to back years 2015/2016. I gave so many baits to kids I have lost count. Literally opened boxes and said, take anything you want. Heres my 5th place Heres my 9th place 6

Still going through so much tackle that I can't even own a bait monkey. Walked out to the garage before I went to order the other day, came back in and closed the browser.

Super User fishballer06 Posted January 9 Author Super User Share Posted January 9 Glad to see some familiar faces and some new ones. I think this is the sixth year I've ran this (maybe seventh?). I always enjoy the banter leading up to the tournaments and then following along during the events. If anyone is new here, or just wants to reminiscence, here's last year's thread. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/243715-fantasy-fishing-2022-official-thread/

jhoffman
So to note, one of my wins was FLW and the other was BASS Things I did to win 1: Checked the water/weather conditions before the tournament - a cold front can turn a smash fest into a dropshot video game fishing tournament 2: Knew angler strengths on each side - If youre going to a smallmouth fishery, the guys who flip dont usually win that 3: Looked for high odds locals (though this can hurt you) 4: The biggest favorite to win usually doesnt win, spend your "budget" wisely, its better to have 4 pretty good guys and a hammer then to have 3 top ranked for the tournament guys who blow it. 5: Never ever count out the big power sticks: KVD, Hackney, Martens(RIP), Wheeler, Palaniuk... if theyve won AOY or multiple AOY's and it fishes their style...
