Warrior Rod Blanks

Featured Replies

Is anyone familiar with Bushido  blanks from Warrior Rods?  What is your opinion or their medium and medium heavy rods? What might you compare them with.

Bushido is the name given to a line of American Tackle blanks. Before that Seeker had a line, it's been a while so I'd go with AmTack for the supplier. Been around some years now. I've liked what I have used.

Amtak Bushido blanks are at, or near, the top of my best bang for the buck list.

Sometimes I wonder about these questions being a valid look for knowledge, just googling "Bushido blanks" would has given more info then we could ever post here.

Reading information is not the same as asking folks who may have used  a particular item, perhaps someone used a blank to build rod, or handled one.

For instance what is a medium vs medium heavy, there is no real standard to measure, but if somebody used one and said it is similar to.. put a popular brand here... or you respected that person's opinion it could make a difference.

Besides you can't really believe everything you read on the internet, otherwise no one makes a crappy rod, at least I haven't seen anyone advertise we have a god awful rod for sale, please buy it.

I hope that clears up why I asked for information from anyone familiar with the brand in the forum for custom rods.

I built on one but haven't fished it yet. I chose it because I think it's the same blank as on my favorite swim jig rod that had to be retired on account of some unfortunate circumstances. It's one of the LS series so I don't know anything about the normal ones.

There are other sites that have first hand knowledge of these blanks from a larger group of builders. Enough knowledge to find a well reviewed blank for all techniques. Don Morse from American Tackle is there often.

I've built a few of them and really like them. I built a SJ72 8/15 as a senko rod for my dad and considered it a true medium. I also built a mb73 10/20 and thought it a heavy side medium heavy (all pretty subjective).

The blanks themselves are deceptively light for how solid they are. The crankbait rods are super awesome.

Thanks everyone.. I appreciate all the info.  Sounds like Bushido is a quality blank.

No blank series from a known quality company could survive for as many years like this line has if it wasn't a good product.
