I have a 6’ medium Triumph rod. I’m trying to pair a bait cast reel to it. I’d prefer a gear ratio of 6:8:1. Just looking for suggestions. I’d prefer to keep it in the $100 to $200 dollar range. What are your thoughts?

    James is probably busy - it's tournament season.

     

    My suggestion - Lews Tournament MP - it's what I'm looking at in place of the Patriarchs that aren't sold anymore.

     

    Aluminum frame, dual-braking (centrifugal and magnetic), carbon-fiber drag. Looks good to me.
