8 ft - Heavy Fast blank for jig hook soft swimbaits. I'm thinking 10 guides minimum.

10 guides would be where I’d expect to end up, but static load testing would be the determining factor. In Fuji’s line is use K frames, Double foot 10, DF 8 then 5.5 KB single foot to the tip. Just did one of these came out great. 

The rods I've been around have had 9 guides to as many as 13. The JDM rods, like for instance Megabass, have the least guides. The blank will tell you how many it needs.
