They are fairly easy to catch in Lake Martin from late February through most of May, but then disappear for a while. How and where do you fish for spots in late spring through summer?

Spawning is an ordeal for bass, nest making then protecting without eating for weeks takes it’s toll. Post spawn to summer transition bass are still loners. This is a slow time and slower pesentations work. Big switch for Spots is grouping up and feeding on baitfish schools like Threadfin Shad, Silversides, etc.
