I'm heading up this weekend to fish the area of Dingman's ferry north to Callicoon on the Delaware. Curious how the smallmouth bite is this time of year. I'm only been up there in summer before. Any info would be appreciated!

I'm a little late with my info.

 

I use to fish that area around Hankins and Long Eddy on the river. The fishery up there is influenced by the water release from the dams feeding the river. If they were releasing a lot of cold water the area from about Hankins north was a good trout fishery. If they were not releasing water then the SM could be caught in the area. 

 

BTW The shad fishing should be good up there now.
