Raptor vs Talon

Featured Replies

Help me out here guys....I know it’s “older” technology, but is there any reason not to get Talon’s over Raptors? I love the fact that I can get 15’ vs 10’ max with Raptor’s.....also that I don’t have to add hydraulic hoses/pumps in the back of my boat. Give me any experiences, opinions any of you may have, good or bad!

Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~

Have no experience with Raptor.

Been running twin 12 ft Talons since 2016.

Big Fan.

Pros ~ Vertical deployment & No hydraulic rig needed, Tilt Brackets allow for low overhead approaches.

Cons ~ Wind Drag effects boats top end speed as well as tow rigs mpg numbers.

Finally, for the way I fish, they are vital.

YMMV
