Yes they are legit.  The Lovebugs and Flip Flops have done really well for me.  The soft plastic gives them excellent action.  Naturally people complain about the durability.  If you a hook with a screw lock or just thread a screw lock into the top of the bait and thread the offset through it you will get more fish per bait.
