Greetings! I'm be visiting family in Monson, ME next week and I was wondering if anyone had reports on how the fishing has been in Lake Hebron or other near by lakes? I'll just have my float tube so unfortunately the great smallmouth rivers are off the table (this time...)

Haven't fished Hebron in some time, we went up to Indian Pond little ways past Greenville the other week. Small boat and high winds with white caps so it was more controlling the boat than catching bass, did catch some SM but not the size we were looking for. If you go in the upper launch and go right to the flooded timber you might get into fish. Usually ned's and grubs/stickbaits will do the trick. Good Fishing

I'll add one other piece of info, we had never went in to the upper end and when we went in I wondered what someone would do if they met another boat going in that last leg. Its a rough woods road at best and very narrow. I know you didn't mention a boat but in case you do. Dave

Bringing the float tube so the access is simpler but the white caps are definitely a red flag for me!
