Can someone recommend a suitable rattle to place inside the cavity of a lead casted jig head prior to pouring?  These will be used inside larger jigs 2-6 ounce Ultra Minnow mold.  I was using small metal rattles from Barlow's but they stopped carrying them.  Thank you.

It will probably have to be metal, as plastic rattles will probably deform from the heat and cause them not to rattle. I don't know of anyone selling metal rattles. However you can try  Lakeland or Hagen's.

Neither shop had them.  However, I did see a post on another forum on how to make your own rattle using a .22 cartridge filled with bb's or shotgun pellets.  I will save some next time I go to the range and give this a shot.

Might want to try glass rattles, if they aren't exposed and won't be in danger of breaking?

I always used the rubber encased rattles with a ring openiong that you add to the hook.  Sorry I can't remember who made them.
