Unhealthy air.

Took a rare break from fishing this weekend. This darn wildfire smoke is too much. I watch PurpleAir like a hawk. Woke up at 4 am to check and it was 4x the recommended dose of smoke. Went back to sleep. Now conditions are better, I tiny bit better.

at least where I live it’s good.  My target lake - not so much. :(

I was all rigged up last night. Fresh FG knots on new leaders, new hopeful reaction baits…..:(

Right there with ya @Darth-Baiter. Took a pic from the truck window while I was heading south on I5 of the sun rising through the smoke over Sierras.  Crazy stuff, just hope the firefighters are getting the needed resources to get things contained…

Get a respirator ;) In California even the sky comes with a Prop 65 cancer warning. And the water for that matter.

Going to the lake tomorrow to test the new Old Town Sportsman PDL. Yeehaw! Shouldn't be any smoke there.

Last years fires left a layer of ash on my milk crate after a day. Was a good day of fishing though!

N95 masks are readily available right now which are helpful against the smoke particulates.  Plus much more effective against covid 19 than the common surgical masks.  Win-win solution.  Wore one today to go fishing as the smoke here in Silicon Valley is pretty bad.
