Just a couple quick questions out of curiosity. How many of ya'll throw bigger shads raps often? How many of you have thrown them before? Did you have luck? 

 

It's been a while since I've tossed shad raps but in the past, they showed up as my most used lure for a couple of time periods. If I ever get back into cranking, one of the first things I'll pick up again is a shad rap. I believe the shad rap 05 in gold is pure magic. What a lure

 

Edit: I should clarify I’m talking mostly about the 08 and 09 sizes

In the late winter - early spring on the highland reservoirs near me, I like to throw a *** (3.25") in old school crawdad color. I can get it down to 8 feet or so, that color does a good job in the slight stain that time of year. I throw the smaller ones late in the summer on the flats, they catch pretty much every species in the lake.
