I am wondering if anyone here has ever put outdoor carpeting on the seats of an aluminum rowboat. This is something that I have seen many times in the areas I fish. My trouble is, I don't know what adhesive to use. Anyone been down this road?

Nope, but if you don't get your answer, I'd give a boat dealer or boating store a call.

if you want it semi-permanent, look into 2 sided carpet tape. Otherwise I have not heard of much that holds up if you plan to stay out in the rain and bad weather.

I would look at Marine carpet (Lowes has it), there is a big difference between it and outdoor (big diff in price too).

Then I bought the best outdoor rated carpet adhesive I could find. Made one heck of a mess with it at first too. LOL. But it held great.

I guess it depends on how perm a job you are looking for here.

A very good idea!! 8-) we all know how noisy those aluminum row boat's are I think all us basser's at one time or another fished in one! If it's your boat why not do the floor too?  Junebugman
