Lake Thom a Lex

Hey ya'll,

Wondering if anyone has fished Lake Thom a Lex in the whereabouts of Winston Salem. I looked through past forum posts and could not find much information on this lake. It is somewhat small, at only 586 acres. Digging through all available information on the interwebs, I've seen some encouraging and not-so-encouraging things about the lake. Wondering what ya'lls thoughts are on it. I visited it once before last year. The most concerning thing I read was that it could be shad poor but that was just a claim made by a forum poster on another forum years ago. The most encouraging things I read were the grass on the lake and the lake's record at over 13lbs. I am trying to catch as big a bass as I can this winter and this was one lake I was looking at in my whereabouts. There are great, larger lakes available to me, but Thom a Lex because of its smaller size is great for me in the kayak to get around in and analyze more closely.

Hope ya'll are well.
