Hoping somebody out there has some kind of experience with Duracraft Jon Boats.  I'm going to look at one in a few hours and am wondering if, as a brand, they are junk or not.  Can't find much info on them on the web.

Duracraft's are a excellent boat, I've owned 2 and the only thing I didn't like was the beam was narrower than most.

The one I'm going to look at is a 1236.  Supposedly it's in fantastic shape.  He said the one odd thing is that it has ribs every 12 inches.  So I'm hopeful it's a sturdy boat.  Guess I'll have to see.  He wants like 300 bucks for it with the title.

I currently fish out of a 1982 14-foot Duracraft jon.  It's a fine boat, but as Catt mentioned, the beam is slightly narrower than most.  I fish from the front standing and leaning on the seat, but I wouldn't want to walk around too much.

Turns out it is actually a Duratech.  Old boat built up north somewhere.  In fairly good shape so I went ahead and bought it.  Guy came down on his price to a point where I couldn't help it.  Has a couple of small leaks at like three or four rivets.  Few minor dings which I've already hammered out.  Seats came out without an issue.  Already cut and laid in the floor to cover up the ribs.  So I guess at some point I should start a thread with a start to finish on it.  Next thing to look for is a used bow mount foot control trolling motor....
