Best Starting Battery?

Featured Replies

Ok guys,

i finally took the dive and bought 2- brand New Trojan SCS225's for my New TM which is a MK Max Pro80-42"-which should be at my door on Tuesday.

With that said when I turned in the cores of the old batterys they noticed and told me the old ones were 4 years old and i was lucky they lasted that long.

Anyways, I am curious as I would like to replace my Starting Motor Battery as well but Have no idea which battery for starting and running electronics(like my HB 997c SI and another FF up front) might be best??

Any Suggestions for Starting Motor Battery?

Dual Purpose?  Deep?  or just A Starting battery?

I'll second the Interstate Marine. I use one battery for the TM, and fishfinder. The Interstate works perfectly.

Deka Marine Master Starting.  Recently installed a 24M7 and gave it a workout on it's first trip (kill switch tripped, spent about 30 minutes trying to start).

well if anyone cares--i put in a Continental XHD-31C-that has 1000 CCA's and 1250-CA's with 200 RC for like $90.

and Continental is where i got my Trojan's From--so i guess this baby will work for now with a 12 month Free replacement and a 3 yr pro-rated warranty on the rest.

Hope this helps someonelse

Dual purpose minimum group 27 size. You need the reserve capacity to run all the stuff hooked to it plus starting the motor.

Want the absolute best? A Rolls Surrette 8D.

1531 cold cranking amps, seven year warranty.

The downside? It weighs 230 pounds. And, its cost. About 900 dollars.
